FOUR AFSA DELEGATES
HAVE BEEN EARMARKED TO VISIT THE FRENCH ISLAND OF REUNION AS AMBASSADORS
OF AIKIDO IN SOUTH AFRICA DURING 2010
The Executive
Committee of the Aikido Federation of South Africa was proud to announce
that, thanks to funding received from the National Lottery, it is now
in the fortunate position to send 4 delegates from AFSA as ambassadors
of Aikido in South Africa to the French island of Reunion in order to
participate in an Aikido seminar during June 2010.
The Veneri
Travel Fund aims to develop upcoming leaders within AFSA to broaden their
horizons by assisting them to travel to foreign countries and to attend
Aikido seminars there. The focus is mostly on senior kyu students within
AFSA who had proven themselves willing and eager to spend their energy
not only on their own development, but to utilize it to the benefit of
their clubs, their co-students and the organization in general.
The event
will take place from the 19th - 27th June 2010 and the seminar will be
instructed by Serge SANS Sensei (National Federal Instructor, 6th dan)
Kylee Nel, (one of Port Elizabeths Aikido Club own members) has been selected
to travel to reunion, along with William Wiggle, Jack Maja and Genevieve
Standton.
Congratulations!
